North Walsham in Bloom has had a very strange year, obviously due in no small part to the Covid situation. A lot of our helpers are in the older age groups and several of these have had to shield for various reasons. Plus the fact that we were told not to go out unless really necessary.
We also had a problem with the weather. Our pansies and primroses are not big fans of very cold wet weather and this year we lost more than usual in the harsh conditions. Some of our sites were replanted twice but the weather was still too much for the pansies. Our thinking is at the moment that we need to review our winter planting plans for 2021/2022
